Elland Brewery has won the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain award at the Great British Beer Festival held at Olympia in London in August with their 6.5% ABV beer 1872 Porter. This gives them a clean sweep of CAMRA awards as they also won Champion Winter Beer of Britain with the same beer at the Great British Beer Festival Winter, held in February 2023 at Burton-upon-Trent. The silver award went to Greene King with Abbot Ale and bronze to Salopian with Darwin's Origin.
